The lower end of the esophagus is through a valve, called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) protected. This valve opens to allow food from the esophagus to the stomach and closes to protect against the acidity of the stomach and esophagus. Multiple conditions can endanger this valve so that gastric contents into the esophagus. Than for adults, infants suffer heartburn on occasions. This is mainly because young children primarily consume liquid and soft foods that tend to be rich in diary proteins. The unfortunate part of infant of acid reflux disease is that it is different than for adults, very difficult to determine if a child has developed chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease. A child is unlikely to complaints about heartburn or no symptoms of the disease.

Acid reflux in infants is always based on a lot of factors, but most of the causal factors aggravated, are most of their days by the fact that young children spend on the back or in a supine position and tend to consume most liquid food. This extra attention could be all your child really needs.
